We are supporting Childline / NSPCC as our chosen charities for 2012.  On completion of every sale the Express Estate Agency™ pledge to make a donation to Childline / NSPCC which goes towards counselling a child.

About Childline / NSPCC

"ChildLine / NSPCC are the UK’s free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people in danger or distress.  Volunteer counsellors offer comfort, advice and protection to the often vulnerable children who call everyday.

Since ChildLine was founded by Esther Rantzen in 1986, it has not only listened to children, but given them a voice – taking what they say about their lives and relaying it to policy-makers, parents and people who work with children, so that we can all make children’s lives better.

For many children ChildLine / NSPCC is literally a lifeline.  It has given thousands of children hope and confidence.  We know that many children take days, even weeks, to pluck up the courage to call us.  But the tragic fact is that many children still cannot get through to the help they need because we simply don’t have enough funds.

We do tell children to keep on trying, but our greatest fear is that a child in danger rings ChildLine / NSPCC, finds the lines busy – and never calls again.  That is why we are so determined to achieve our aim of answering all the children, who need our help, the first time they ring."
