Express Estate Agency™ matches Seller in a hurry with Buyer ready to buy
When 58-year old Sally had to leave her job due to illness, she realised that she would no longer be able to keep up the mortgage payments on her three bedroom ex-council home in Newark. Sally realised that she would need to sell the property quickly.
However as the property market continued to slow, Sally knew that the traditional method of using an estate agent was unlikely to work. When a flyer from the Express Estate Agency™ came through her door, she thought she would give them a ring.
“I had seen how some of my neighbours had been struggling to sell their homes – the ‘For Sale’ boards continue to go up, but none of them ever seemed to come down.
Sally received two offers from the viewing, accepted the highest at £64k and the sale was completed within a couple of months of her decision to sell.
“The staff at the Express Estate Agency™ were really good,” she continues, “they babysat me through the whole process. When you’ve really got to sell somewhere, you start panicking when any problems arise but they always dealt with them professionally and quickly. I used their in-house lawyers who were superb, and I also sought advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau who thought it was pretty straight-up.”
The property was bought by 30-year-old Henry Britton, a recent graduate from Violin-making and Restoration at Newark College. A skilled builder, Henry had decided that rather than work in a bar while studying, he would use his building and electrical skills to invest his time in property which supported his education and also created long-term investment. He found the Newark property that Sally was selling in an online search. Within two days, Henry had arranged a viewing, and made an offer which was accepted immediately.
“Because I had the finance in place, I was an ideal buyer for the Express Estate Agency™, who were professional, quick to respond and offered fantastic advice,” he comments. “I own five houses now and can’t believe how easily this transaction went through compared to previous experiences. The whole thing was so much simpler than working with traditional estate agents.”
Henry hopes to refurbish the house next year to rent out but in the meantime he is leasing it back to Sally at a rental rate far lower than her mortgage, while she waits for council accommodation to be sorted out.
Mark Brogan, Co Director of the Express Estate Agency™ commented:
“The Express Estate Agency™ was set-up to help people like Sally who need to sell quickly to buyers who are ready to make offers. Our service is fully transparent and creates a win-win situation for buyers and sellers, and we are delighted that we were able to help Sally and Henry find a solution that worked for both.”
